The Lord spoke to me about the way we often run our churches, concerning foundations and building on them. The Lord was clear when He spoke to me – He said “I cannot get them to build above the first floor.” He told me that Pastors start to build a church but due to circumstances etc. they have to leave. Then another pastor takes over, and instead of building on the already established foundations – this new leader has new ideas, fresh revelation and they start teaching their new ideas etc.   Our leaders must learn to recognise and respect the foundations and building work someone before them has already laid.  1 Corinthians 3:6. Hebrews 6:1. We need to learn together how to build His church ABOVE the first floor. In the past we’ve often torn out the spiritual foundational work that was already done before we came,  but now we prayerfully need to respect the ministry of those people who went before us. I think doing that will take great faith and humility. Almighty God wants His people to grow up into the fullness of Christ. To do that we need to trust Him and go on past the foundations and the lower floors into the greater things He promised us in John 14:12.
